90' Canal Class Towboat 2400 & 2600 H.P.
FMT’s 90’ Eastern Shipbuilding project has now grown to 50 vessels. 40 Vessels will have Caterpillar 3512 engines and 10 vessels will have Cummins QSK-38 engines. Eastern Shipbuilding has been able to provide FMT with a new vessel every '4 to 6' weeks. The 90’ canal class vessel has been specifically design to push 2 to 3 barge unit tows in the canal and the river. The vessels are designed to carry a crew of up to 7 people with significant comfort. The 90’ canal boats have proven to be a great success in the industry since the first delivery on February 22, 2006. They have proven to have excellent fuel burn, great speed with their tow, and very comfortable crew accommodations. Our customers and boat crews have been very pleased with these boats.
